Jenn Liakos

Jenn puts the compassion, kindness and work ethic she learned growing up in the Midwest to work for you.

Jenn was born and raised in the small farming community of St. Johns, Michigan. After law school, she craved a change and moved to Los Angeles, where she has lived and practiced law for the past twenty-five years but has never forgotten her midwestern roots.

Jenn knew from growing up with two brothers that life isn’t always fair.  Often outnumbered, Jenn made it her mission to be the most prepared person in any room. As a young lawyer, Jenn learned to maximize her abilities and honed her verbal skills, developing an arsenal that helps her zealously and effectively represent her clients, regardless of her opponent.

For over twenty years, Jenn has worked tirelessly as a pharmaceutical litigation attorney, fighting drug and medical device manufacturing companies who failed to warn consumers of the dangers of their products. Her practice focused largely on issues impacting women and children including SSRI withdrawal, babies born with birth defects after being exposed to medications during pregnancy and vaginal mesh and talcum powder litigations. She also fought for her clients outside the courtroom by testifying before an FDA advisory board on safety concerns associated with medications and sought for a more fair and just system of accountability for drug manufacturers.

Over the past several years, Jenn has discovered a passion in helping another underrepresented group, transitioning to representing survivors of childhood sexual abuse. She has handled complex and high-profile cases against the Boy Scouts of America, several California Public School Districts, the County of Los Angeles and the Catholic Church – to name a few.

She is focused, not only on the law, but on her clients as people and works to help each client regain a sense of control over their lives by providing compassion, guidance and support. Beyond legal representation, she generously gives her time to help clients obtain psychological care and counseling. It is this holistic approach to law that sets Jenn apart from others in the field.

Jenn is a nationally recognized attorney with more than twenty-five years of experience in both federal and state litigation. Jenn won the accolades of the legal community and was named as a “Super Lawyer” every year since 2009. Jenn has also won the title of Lawyer of Distinction and Top Lawyer in California. She uses her experience to advance younger lawyers by frequently teaching deposition techniques and other litigation skills for the American Association for Justice.
